JSVL Program

The Jewish Silicon Valley Leaders Program

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Jewish Silicon Valley Leaders program is to empower Jewish women in Silicon Valley to take on competitive roles by realizing their full potential while adjusting to a new professional and social environment. By facilitating mentoring relationships, the program provides the connections and opportunities they need to have extraordinary careers.

Whether you just moved to Silicon Valley in the past five years or are seeking to re-enter the workforce, our mentorship program will help strengthen your skillset and help you join the Silicon Valley workforce.

What?
6-months fully sponsored mentorship program tailored for outstanding women who relocated to Silicon Valley facing their professional or personal “crossroads.”
The program offers personal mentoring by leading women and men who were chosen for their leadership positions and have shown commitment to growing women leaders.
How?
Each mentee is paired with a mentor based on their mutual professional framework. Through the mentoring process, the mentee will benefit from professional and personal practical guidance and together with the mentor will design her own path to success.

6 months + 7 sessions = Life changing experience

Application deadline: October 21, 2022

HOW OUR MENTORSHIP PROGRAM WORKS
  • 7 hours of 1:1 mentorship

You will be matched with your personal mentor for a 6-month long relationship. Your mentor will help you achieve the goals you set up for yourself.

  • Training and support

We will provide you with the tools you will need to create your goals and provide guidance on how to lead productive meetings with your mentor. You will be in charge of moving your goals and relationship forward. We will support you along the way.

  • Group networking opportunities

During the third month, we will host an online midterm event so you can meet fellow participants. You will be able to build your network and share experiences.

  • Graduation Ceremony

We will hold a graduation ceremony at the end of the program to celebrate your progress. This will be a great opportunity to share your next steps, provide feedback, and learn how you can continue to be a part of the AFHU community after graduation.

  • Time Commitment

If accepted into the program, you must commit to attend all scheduled meetings for the entirety of the 6-month program.

FAQs

Q: Who is qualified to join the program?

A: The program is designed for women that are part of the Jewish culture and/or attended an Israeli academic institution. However, we will consider applicants on a case-by-case basis.

Q: If I can’t attend one or more of the sessions, can I still stay in the program?

This is an intensive 6-month program that is based on consistent adoption of insights and learnings. We are requiring attendance to the mid-term and graduation events. However, the six 1:1 mentorship sessions will be scheduled with the mentor directly according to your and your mentor’s availability.

Q: How will the mentors be matched?

The program’s organizing team will match the mentors based on the mentee’s professional background, specific expertise, and the mentee’s priorities as reflected in the application form.
